Jeremiah was the sixth child of nine children born to Peter Miller and Mary Stutzman. He married Elizabeth Livengood. They moved near Pulaski, Iowa. They had two children: Mary --- married Christian Brenneman who was born in Waldeck, Germany Jeremiah Jr. --- married Anna Schlatter.
